Historically, people with developmental disabilities (DD) have experienced major barriers to living in their own homes, including affordability, accessibility, and lack of supportive services options. 

Over the past several years, the Commonwealth has focused on addressing these obstacles by making significant investments to help people with DD have greater choice and control over where they live, with whom they spend their time, who supports them, and what they do with their day.
