Behavior Therapeutic Consultation

Zakia Allah, BCBA, LBA offers parent/caregiver training in two formats.

• Parent Mediated Training involves conducting programs and teaching prosocial behaviors using the caregiver as a proxy with the child present. One of the benefits of this model is the real-time feedback and instruction that caregivers receive. During Parent Mediated Training sessions, caregivers are given tools and information on the basic aspects of Applied Behavior Analysis as well as support for specific challenges and behaviors.
• Parent Support is facilitated by sessions conducted between the behavior consultant and the caregiver in the absence of the child. During the sessions, the behavior consultant creates a plan with the caregiver's input. The plan is then carried out under the guidance of the consultant.
