Adaptive Sports

World T.E.A.M. Sports is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization chartered in North Carolina and headquartered in Boston, Massaschusetts.  Since 1987, World T.E.A.M. Sports has organized athletic events for disabled and able bodied citizens – mountain climbing, white water rafting, bicycling, and more. We change lives through sports.  Events offered are: 

Challenge Events are held in Colorado, New York and suburban Washington D.C.  For many, exceptional athletes with disabilities, participating in a team challenge offers a chance to explore our natural world, from paddling on lakes and rivers to hiking and biking through deep woods to climbing high mountains and jagged rocks.  For participating able-bodies athletes and coaches, the Challenge offers a memorable and inspirational experience. 

Coastal Team Challenge offers teams of developmentally and physically disabled and able-bodied athletes for a two day, 20 nautical mile, non competitive sea kayak journey along the cost of Long Island, New York.  Paddling by hand and foot pedal, camping out under the stars and working together help teams overcome obstacles and challenges.

Face of America and Face of America Liberty bring together adaptive and able-bodied athletes for challenging bicycle and hand cycle journeys that honor and respect military veterans who were injured or disabled during their service.
