Who We Are
Rappahannock Area Community Services Board's (RACSB) offer onsite mental health services at Rappahannock Regional Jail and Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center. Full time clinicians provide behavioral health services to incarcerated individuals. Services include crisis intervention, psychiatric services, substance use services, diversion services, and case management.
RACSB helps individuals with serious behavioral health disorders transition back into the community after they leave jail. Jail can be a difficult place for people with mental health concerns or substance use disorders. RACSB, in partnership with the Rappahannock Regional Jail, provides support during incarceration. Services include a diversion program that aims to keep people out of jail if possible or to make their incarceration as short as possible. The diversion program also works with individuals for up to 30 days following their release.
RACSB also offers behavioral health and substance use services at the District 21 Office of Adult Probation and Parole.
