Family and Children's Trust of Virginia (FACT) functions as a value-added provider of information, knowledge, leadership, funding, and public awareness about family violence throughout Virginia.
In order to report incidents of domestic violence or sexual assault, please contact the Virginia Family Violence and Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-838-8238.
In order to report suspected adult abuse, neglect or exploitation, call the Virginia Adult Protective Services Hotline at 1-888-832-3858.
In order to report suspected cases of child abuse or neglect, please contact the Virginia Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-552-7096.
FACT funds local family violence prevention and treatment programs through its competitive small grant process and conducts statewide public awareness campaigns in partnership with public and private family violence prevention organizations, including elder abuse prevention.
The Family and Children's Trust Fund is administered by a board of trustees appointed by the Governor to raise and distribute funds for the prevention, treatment, and public awareness of family violence in Virginia. Principal revenue sources include citizen support through the Virginia Income Tax check-off and the sales of Kids First License Plates.
