Who We Are
Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia provides support, advice and aid to constituents and offers a library of books, videos and articles pertaining to the health and social issues associated with Down syndrome. Other services include (1) newsletter published 6-8 times a year providing events, new information, book reviews, medical reports, etc. (2) scholarship program for continuing education of individuals with Down syndrome; (3) campership program to provide financial assistance to allow children with Down syndrome to attend summer camps; (4) social events for teens and adults; (5) educational meetings for parents of children with Down syndrome; (6) quarterly social gatherings for all members; and (7) support for children with Down syndrome in the hospital and their families.

DADS: New fathers and veterans of children with Down syndrome are invited can join this chapter of Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome (D.A.D.S.) A meeting is typically scheduled once a month; usually on the third Tuesday of most months.
Parent to Parent exists to be a resource to all parents regardless of their child's age. Parent to Parent provides resources and connections to parents in the Case of specific needs or if a parent just needs to talk. This program can help point a parent in the right direction for community resources that would benefit the family most.
