Venison Donation Program

Hunters for the Hungry provide and accept donated deer meat. The meat is then accepted by professional meat cutters who process (cut, wrap and freeze) the venison. The meat is provided at no cost and is then distributed through foodbanks and other non-profit organizations feeding Virginia's needy.



Funds are raised to have the deer processed. Your contribution will help food be processed.  To donate venison,

1. Take your legally tagged deer to a participating meat processor, or specified collection point.
2. Click here to find a processor or collection point in your area.
3. When you pick up your processed deer, donate a portion* of the meat to the program. The processor will store this meat until it is picked up for distribution to the hungry. Every package counts. As little as ONE pound will help.

*A hunter donating an entire deer is not required to pay any part of the processing fee.
