Who We Are
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services handles the processing of applications and petitions of aliens to permit them to become non-immigrant students and workers, permanent residents and U.S. citizens, and to bring families into the U.S.
Customers can access the automated information phone system through a menu of automated options 24/7. During regular business hours customers who need more than automated information can be transferred to a customer service representative. Information is available in English and Spanish.
USCIS recommends that you consider using the web and phone before you take the time to go to a Field Office for service. If you do need to go to one of the Field Offices, to serve you better most of the offices provide in-person services by appointment. To minimize your wait time, please make an appointment before you go. You may schedule an appointment on the USCIS web site via INFOPASS to speak with an Immigration Information Officer.
