Who We Are

Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a neurological disorder characterized by tics, involuntary, rapid, sudden movements that occur repeatedly. The mission of the Tourette Syndrome Association of Greater Washington is to improve the quality of life in those affected by TS through education, advocacy and awareness. The website provides information about workplace and community awareness presentations to provide information on TS;

Provides teacher and staff in-service programs to provide information about TS, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) as well as common learning disabilities. Many individuals with TS also experience symptoms of other disorders, particularly Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder. The program also provides peer and classroom presentations.
