Group Home, Mountain View Residential

Mountain View Residential, Inc. provides community services to persons with developmental disabilities with dual diagnoses and individuals with long-term mental illnesses. Services are provided in a group home setting. The homes are situated in the beautiful Smith Mountain Lake area. Individuals get the following on-site amenities:

• golfing
• two outdoor swimming pools
• an indoor swimming pool
• a restaurant, Heath's Grill
• a beach area
• a dock area for boat watching

Each home is staffed with highly qualified direct support personnel (DSP) that understand and deliver services using the person-centered approach. All DSP's have received gastrostomy tube certification. The director and residential supervisor are equipped via the use of American Sign Language to support individuals that have communication barriers due to deafness and other issues that have caused language deficiencies.

Mountain View Residential, Inc. provides transportation and has a van with wheelchair accessibility for all to have access to the community.
