Who We Are
Virginia Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (VRID) established January 18, 1969, is a state chapter of the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). VRID supports Sign Language Interpreters in Virginia!, educates the public about the vital role of interpreters and transliterators and works to ensure equal opportunity and access for all individuals. Members recognize and support the linguistic rights of all Deaf people as human rights, equal to those of users of spoken languages.
The consumer can hire interpreters directly or through an interpreter service agency.
