Who We Are
The Amputee Coalition understands that children experiencing limb loss or limb difference can be challenging for them and their caregivers, especially during these unprecedented times. That is why their Weekend Mini-Camps are the perfect way for young people to gain a new sense of self-confidence and awareness.
Weekend Mini-Camp will allow folks to participate in other local activities during the week but still get an opportunity to hang out with our community. To help fight social isolation for the limb loss and limb difference community, they build out activities to help connect campers, junior counselors, and counselors.
They will provide age-appropriate activities, games, movie streaming sessions. Still, most importantly, it will give ample time for campers to hang out with old and new friends and engage in organic peer support through conversation with peers.
