Memory Assessment Center, Statewide

Chestnut Ridge Center offers geriatric psychiatry and neuropsychological testing. 



The Memory Clinic is composed of residents, case manager, and board certified geriatric psychiatrist.  The team provides neuropsychiological and cognitive testing, neuroimaging, blood and lab values, clinical interviews with patients, clinical interviews with family members, clinical interviews with other informants. We participate in the WVU Alzheimer’s Registry and report all WV residents diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s.  Because of the high volume of patient’s needing this type of care, our wait list for new patient appointments are extensive sometimes it is up to a year or more from the date of referral that a patient is scheduled.



Chestnut Ridge Center, part of WVU Healthcare, is affiliated with the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry at the WVU School of Medicine. The hospital is located on the campus of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center in Morgantown, West Virginia.
