HIV Testing and Counseling

FAHASS provides HIV testing services. FAHASS is a recognized testing location for people wanting to know their HIV status.

Each test is conducted by a trained and certified HIV testing and prevention counselor.  The counselor is able to discuss confidential issues in a non-judgmental setting. A counseling session might discuss some of the following topics:

• How often someone should be tested
• Education on STD transmission
• Ways to reduce the risk of becoming infected with HIV and other STDs
• Next steps for people who have a reactive test result
