Day Support Services

Heritage House of Virginia, Inc. provides a center-based, community-driven program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program offers designed to build skills through individualized supports and training in several areas; Community Resource Training, Prevocational Training, and Community Outings. Participants are able to do volunteer projects facilitated by the staff and with transportation provided.

Some activities include:

• Learning field trips to post offices, grocery stores, banks, and more;
• Education in reading, writing, arithmetic, public speaking;
• Beadwork;
• Assembly services;
• Bowling, miniature golf;
• Museum visits;
• Malls and restaurants;
• Baseball games, pool parties, parks and more.
