Who We Are

The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (RID) is a national membership organization of professionals who provide sign language and interpreting/transliterating services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing persons. Contact by e-mail or phone for information on finding an interpreter.



Provides certification through National Testing System (NTS), training through the Certification Maintenance Program (CTP), and self-regulation using the Ethical Practices System (EPS). Also provides support services for practicing and student sign language interpreters.



Offers publications regarding the development and practices of interpreters for the deaf.
