Organ Transplant Education | Advocacy

TRIO (Transplant Recipients International Organization) provides education and advocacy to donor candidates, recipients and families of  organ and tissue donors, and to the public. Educational materials regarding transplantation, donor awareness, financial and insurance issues are made available.



Individuals who have undergone transplant surgery provide support for other transplant candidates, recipients, their families and donor family members. By sharing their personal experiences, they compliment the counseling provided by physicians and other health care professionals by offering special understanding that comes only from first-hand experience of the transplant process. In addition to support, chapters, in partnership with donor family members, coordinate events throughout the year to promote organ donor awareness.
