Who We Are
The mission of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) is to assure quality cancer care for all Americans. NCCS serves as clearinghouse for credible information about cancer survivorship, empowers cancer survivors through its publications and programs, convenes other national cancer-related organizations and advocates for policy issues that affect survivors' quality of life.
The Cancer Survivor Toolbox is audio program that teaches skills that can help people with cancer meet the challenges of their illness. The Toolbox includes a Basic Skills set that covers six important topics: communication, finding information, making decisions, solving problems, negotiating and standing up for your rights. Basically designed for people who have just been diagnosed with cancer, it can also help anyone facing hard decisions and changes in life because of cancer.
The Cancer Survival Toolbox is produced by the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, the Oncology Nursing Society and the Association of Oncology Social Work.
