Who We Are
The Hearing and Speech Center offers a range of clinical services to Gallaudet University and metropolitan DC communities. Provides speech and language services to all ages.
The Center serves individuals who are
- Deaf and hard of hearing,
- Speech and language might be delayed,
- Diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities,
- Recovering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) or stroke,
- Living with some level of dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease.
Treats communication problems (e.g., language, articulation, fluency, aural, voice, etc.). Charges for evaluation and per session for speech-language therapy or aural rehabilitation. Does not deny services due to inability to pay.
